Liam Bear

Meet Liam.
The most perfect baby ever to grace the planet, I'm just sure of it.
If you've never had a baby steal your heart come hold this chubster for a few minutes and it'll be gone.
He was born on January 4, 2014.
He weighed 9lbs 10oz.
He was 21 3/4 in long.
My BIG baby boy.

ONE MONTH OLD
He currently sleeps 6 1/2 to 7 hours at night, in his pack n' play beside our bed. (Thank God)
He eats CONSTANTLY.
Tummy time is sometimes tolerated.
He wears the cutest pair of white and blue baby Pumas.
Edelweiss is his lullaby of choice.
Fits comfortably in 3 month clothes.
He has the cutest open mouth smile.
Currently learning to giggle.
Has the chubbiest of cheeks, and we like it.
Weighs 12.1lbs.
22 3/4in long.

TWO MONTHS OLD
Discovered the little man staring back at him in the mirror.
Reaches for toys.
His favorite past time is holding hands.
He is a MAJOR mama's boy.
3 month pants look like capris on him.
Has a toy lion named Judah.
Loves to watch TV in daddy's lap.
Weighs 13lbs 10oz and 24 1/4 in long.
He is a little cuddle bug.

THREE MONTHS OLD
Learned that he has feet.
Rolls over and really wants to crawl.
Took his first road trip, destination San Antonio.
Loves to flirt with the other mamas at our moms' group.
Sleeps in his crib in his nursery.
All through the night.
Teething like a maniac.
Drool. Everywhere.
Obsessed with the Frozen movie/soundtrack.
It can calm any storm, believe me.
Our little giant wears 6 and 9 month clothes.

FOUR MONTHS OLD
Jabbers all the time.
Sometimes at extremely loud volumes.
Sleeps... most of the night.
But thinks 3-7am is for snuggling in mama's bed.
Weighs in at 16.4 lbs.
Off the growth chart for height at 27 3/4 in long.
Heard his first thunder and slept through his first big spring storm.
Learned how to give kisses.
Slobbery, wet, long kisses.
His Oball jumper is the greatest toy ever.
Outside is his favorite thing.
His big cousin Madilyn is pictured above.
Loves to run his hands all over daddies beard.
Tries to sing with mama.
Wants us to hold him in a standing position all the time.
Loves to be worn by mama, and daddy for that matter.

FIVE MONTHS OLD
Eats carrots, carrots.
And squash and baby oatmeal.
But still really loves breastfeeding.
He laughs, but only when he thinks something is REALLY REALLY funny.
He only wants to take naps in mama's big bed.
HE WEARS 12 MONTH CLOTHES.
Tries to crawl, but face plants.
YELLS mama when mad.
Makes raspberries noises. Constantly.
Had to buy a bigger carseat.
Because he outgrew his baby carrier.
Bath time makes him smile, giggle, and splash. A ton.
Finally got to meet his Great Gigi and cousins.
Discovered trees and the wonderfulness that is green leafs.
Working on getting some teeth.

SIX MONTHS OLD
Had his first fourth of July.
Which was also his half birthday.
He celebrated with a fudgecicle.
He HATES green beans.
I mean yells and throws them hate.
But he now eats peas and sweet potatoes.
He went swimming for the first time, and second, and third.
Sits up really well by himself.
Crawls a little, then gets lazy.
Loves to give other babies kisses, and tries to breastfeed on them.
Had his first tooth break through.
Screamed like velociprator two days before it came through.
Big goofy grin, but not for photos.
He takes serious photos.
Started sleeping with a blanket.
Says Dada, all the time. All the time.
Also says Lola and hi.
Loves to play his toy piano, that used to be Mama's when she was little.
Cracks up laughing when other people laugh.

SEVEN MONTHS OLD
He thinks we are hilarious.
He crawls like a champ.
He pulls himself up to a standing position.
He tries to walk holding on to things.
He is 29 1/2 in tall.
He weighs 19.10 lbs.
He LOVES dogs.
He eats real food, anything he can get his hands on.
We had to put up baby gates, because our son is an escape artist.
Mr. Houdini loves to appear at the dog's dish and play in the water.
Cuddling with Mama is his favorite.
You know, until it's play time and then he needs Dad.
We had to lower his crib.
Beating on Dad's guitar is incredibly entertaining.
He doesn't use a baby seat at bath time anymore. :(
Sitting in high chairs and shopping carts is a breeze.
He discovered how fun boxes really are.

EIGHT MONTHS OLD
Swimming is the best.
He learned to say hey, hi, gigi and nana.
Fights with all his might to stay up until daddy gets home.
Inside mama's wrap is his favorite place.
Learned to stand up without holding on to anything.
Lola is his best friend.
"Don't worry Grandpa's here," Kyle's most said phrase to Liam.
Prefers dog toys to baby toys.
He weighs 20.7 lbs.
L-Dubaya (W) has become his hilarious nickname.
Grass is incredible, you don't even know.
Uncle Bryce and Aunt Rachael are his favorite baby sitters.
He LOVES to give kisses.
Green Eggs and Ham is his favorite book.
Yes, I let him pick which book he wants me to read to him.

NINE MONTHS OLD
Surf walking around the furniture is his new favorite pastime.
Taking steps away from the furniture is not an option.
Playing outside is the best thing ever.
He crawls on the concrete and yells, "lola."
Bedtime is somehow harder and easier.
Daddy is way more fun than mama.
But mama has better snuggles.
He loves sweet potatoes.
LOVES THEM.
He eats meat now. Meat.
He has four teeth and is working on two more.
He smirks more than he smiles.
He started laughing at our jokes.
(that's why you have kids)
When we go somewhere new he has to inspect everything.
He learned to sign and say "all done."

TEN MONTHS OLD
He took his first steps.
Three to be exact, for a piece of cheese.
(That's right, my son walks for cheese)
Since, then he has taken many steps.
But he is still quite cautious.
If something makes him happy he claps.
He weighs 21.1 lbs and is 31 3/4 in long.
This kid has five, almost six teeth.
He has decided that the church nursery is the worst place ever.
Sneak attacking the dog's water makes him giggle.
And boy does he giggle.
If we are somewhere without dad and lola, he constantly asks for dad and lola.
AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS.
No, not screaming, just excitedly calling for them.
He likes to wake up dad in the morning by hitting him in the face.
And then immediately tries to make it better by hugging his face with his entire body.
He learned to say no.
I was getting ready to breastfeed him, and asked him to wait a second and he responded with, "NO."
This kid takes his milk way serious.

ELEVEN MONTHS OLD
This kid walks like a champ.
In fact we took him to the Perot Museum and he walked around the whole place.
And went under bars trying to climb on the dinosaurs.
Dude, he eats so much.
And will eat just about anything you give him.
He loves exploring new places.
Un-decorating the bottom of the Christmas tree is hilarious.
He likes to hold onto Lola's legs or tail and not let them go.
He then proceeds to fall over laughing while Lola licks his face.
He is now the master of going up the stairs, and is terrified of going down them.
He flirts, hard, with all the girls.
Unrolling toilet paper is the best.
He loves making tents out of our bed sheets.
He crawls through them again and again.
When we are at restaurants he tries to get down so he can explore the greatness that is under tables.
He lives to destroy or eat all the things I love.

ONE YEAR OLD
Holy cow batman, my kid is one.
He had a construction themed birthday party.
He dove face first into his cupcake before deciding to pick it up.
We all went out for a pancake breakfast on his birthday morning.
A tradition we hope to keep.
We took him to the Dallas Aquarium, he loved it.
Except the manatee, which is apparently terrifying.
This kid is obsessed with train tables.
Exploring new places is his favorite.
Bath time with mama is still a blast.
Daddy started putting him to bed at night.

ONE AND A HALF YEARS OLD
This kid loves to dip anything in ketchup or ranch.
All his drinks must contain ice.
He loves Curious George and Chuggington.
If he could be outside all day everyday he would be.
Sprinklers are his favorite.
He loves to kiss his little sister, a million times a day.
Mornings are your only chance of snuggling him.
He has decided he loves Papa now.
He got his first motorized vehicle.
We read the same train book over and over again.
It's called "Steam Train, Dream Train."
If we laugh, he laughs with us.
He also laughs at our jokes and at the perfect times.
Wearing hats is the best.
He refuses to call my mom "grammy."
But instead calls her "mom" because that's what we call her.
He calls me "mama" or "mom-me" (with a super high pitched me at the end.)

TWO YEARS OLD

My baby is two, TWO!
Literally, how?
His favorite cartoon is Daniel the Tiger.
You know the one from Mr. Rogers' neighborhood.
Ha. Little does he know he is a mini Mr. Rogers.
He loves to jump off of the chair onto the love sac with Everett all the time.
His favorite thing to eat for breakfast in honey nut cheerios with milk.
He eats real cereal guys.
We read a book about firefighters almost every night before bed.
It's called "Firefighters in the Dark."
Gosh, he is learning so many words.
He even started talking in small sentences.
Checking the mail is the best.
Unless there is no mail and then he hates everything.
He wants to take everything apart and learn about it.
He says "Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy."
Dude loves himself a good bubble beard and bath with mama.
Wrestling with daddy is possibly the most fun thing you could ever do.
Sister is the sweetest and she must receive all the kisses and full body hugs.

THREE YEARS OLD
Paw Patrol is literally the best thing ever.
All he ever wants to eat are tacos, the kid knows what's up.
He had his first hair cut after begging us for months.
The curls are gone, and I cried.
Daddy is the most fun person in the world.
He loves 5 Minute Star Wars Stories and Dragons Love Tacos.
He and Eliza share a room now,  and they love it.
This kid just moved up to a new class at school for 3-5year olds.
What?
Awnry-ness is real, so real.
If you tell him a joke he says, "You're so silly," and giggles forever.
Wearing 4t and size 9 shoes.
Sister is his best friend.
He loves to give her hugs and hold her hand.
Don't worry. He also loves to annoy her too.
I love this sweet guy.

THREE AND A HALF YEARS OLD
Just got his second haircut ever.
When he doesn't want to do something he says, "I don't love it."
Because who does things they don't love?
Did his first sparkler, and was kinda mostly okay with it.
His favorite show is Octonauts and Star Wars.
Loves to sing with Lizzie, even though she tell him, "Shhh, quiet."
He loves loves loves playing in the sprinkler.
He can tell you all the continents and planets.
Right now he has been telling us that he wants to go to space in a rocket.
SpaceX, he is coming for you.
He sleeps with a stack of 10+ books in the corner of his bed stacked up neatly.
After we tuck them in and leave the room, he lays in bed and reads.
My favorite thing in the world is when he randomly looks at me and says, "mama I love you so much."
He is sensitive and brave.
I can't wait to see who you become.
